REP. LORETTA SANCHEZ REMEMBERING 9/11
WASHINGTON, D.C.–Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-47), senior member of the Committee on Homeland Security and the House Armed Services Committee, today released the following statement remembering September 11, 2001.
“One decade ago, our nation experienced an unfathomable tragedy. We pause this weekend to remember the victims and families who suffered from the horrific events of September 11 and to honor the soldiers who have since lost their lives in defense of our freedom.
“By enhancing our counter-terrorism and intelligence efforts we have diminished the capabilities of those who seek to harm our country. The United States Armed Forces and our intelligence community remain committed to the relentless pursuit of those who seek to destroy the freedoms we hold dear. We will not back down and with vigilance and resolve, our undivided nation moves forward and embraces the future.”
